Cell Phone Policy At Sweat & Tonic, we recognize the role of mobile devices in everyday life while maintaining a respectful and distraction-free environment during classes.
We encourage airplane mode or completely turn off your phone during class as many classes start and end in Savasana. Phones must be silenced, not vibrate and screens darkened to avoid interruptions, with texting and calls being strictly prohibited.
Between classes, selfies and videos are encouraged to promote the Sweat & Tonic brand, but participant consent must always be obtained, and privacy respected. Studios may choose to enforce a no-phone policy at their discretion, so please confirm specific guidelines with your studio.
Data Security & Privacy Protecting your data, privacy, and accessibility is our top priority—as well as the priority of the software we trust, Mindbody. Mindbody secures your information at every level, with a cybersecurity program aligned with CIS CSC and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Additionally, Mindbody is HITRUST CSF and PCI DSS Level 1 certified, ensuring the highest standards of data protection.
Pre-Sale Founders Rate Memberships can be cancelled anytime during your first week for any reason and you will be refunded your first payment that you made. Most other memberships have a 3-month minimum term and then require 30days notice unless a term was specified at time of sale.
Each Sweat & Tonic is independently owned and operated. Memberships are valid at purchase location only.
Memberships, including prepaid orMulti-Class Packs are non-transferrable between locations.
Autopay and Prepaid Memberships provide a max of one class per day waitlisted or attended, on studio operation days.
A $9 no-show fee is payable if reservations are not cancelled within 6 hours of a class.
Please refer to our waitlist & cancellation policy for classes and our booking policies.
Memberships typically require 30days notice to cancel unless there is a minimum term.
Memberships and class packs are non-refundable but sometimes ARE transferrable to another person.
Childminding & Studio Policy We do not offer childminding services, and children cannot be left unattended at our studios or accompany members into the studio unless for a designated workshop that includes children.
Pregnancy For safety reasons, pregnant women are not permitted in the Infrared Heat.
Dress Code Appropriate attire must be worn in all classes, as determined by the studio owner. This includes a top & bottoms for men and women. Please use deodorant for everyone happiness. If you have any questions about suitable clothing, please reach out to your studio for guidance.
We strive to maintain an efficient and fair waitlist system to accommodate as many clients as possible. Please take note of the following guidelines regarding our waitlist policy:
Treat Waitlisted Classes as Confirmed Reservations – When you join a waitlist, consider yourself already registered. Be prepared for last-minute availability, as spots often open quickly, especially overnight.
Responsibility to Manage Your Waitlist Status – If you’re unable to attend, please remove your name from the waitlist before being moved into the class. You can easily manage your status through the Sweat & Tonic app.
Update Your Notification Settings – Ensure your app settings allow for timely alerts, so you don’t miss important waitlist updates.
Standard Late Charges & No-Show Fees Apply – Once you’re moved from the waitlist into a class, our regular late and no-show fees will apply. Please manage your schedule accordingly to avoid penalties.
Respect for Fellow Clients – Many others are waiting for a spot—help us keep the system fair by being mindful and adhering to our waitlist policy.
Late & No-Show policies apply to all class bookings, including waitlists. Please check with your studio for specific fee details. To avoid a $10 no-show charge, kindly cancel classes at least 4hours in advance.

Cancellation and refunds are not available for any pre-paid memberships except for Pre-opening memberships, which can be cancelled and refund issued anytime during your first week trial.
Autopay membership cancellation policies are studio-specific; please refer to your contract for details.
- Autopay memberships with 30-day cancellation policies require 30 days' notice and have a minimum 3 month term.
- Annual memberships can be cancelled if you move more than 5 km from the studio, lose employment, or have a serious medical condition with a doctor's note.
- Multi-Class Packs, introductory offers, and all other types of Sweat & Tonic offerings are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Memberships and class packs are non-refundable but sometimes ARE transferrable to another person.
Privacy Policy Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to safeguarding your personal information. Below is an overview of the types of data we collect when you visit our website and how we protect your information. Rest assured, we never sell your personal information to third parties.

SMS & Email Communication Policy Clients have the option to sign up for SMS emails when completing their profile online, through our Mobile App. Once you've attended a class, your account will be available for login access, and you give us permission to contact you via email or SMS about your visits.
We’ll occasionally send receipts, reminders, sales info and newsletters to keep you informed about everything happening at Sweat & Tonic. If you no longer wish to receive SMS and/or some or all types of emails, you can do so on your online profile with us or unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in the email or informing the studio to stop SMS's. Your name will be removed from our mailing list within 7-10 days.

The Sweat and Tonic mobile message service (the "Service") is operated by Sweat and Tonic Maroubra (“Sweat and Tonic”, “we”, or “us”). Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions (“Mobile Terms”). We may modify or cancel the Service or any of its features without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Terms at any time and your continued use of the Service following the effective date of any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.
By consenting to Sweat and Tonic’s SMS/text messaging service, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from and on behalf of Sweat and Tonic through your wireless provider to the mobile number you provided, even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal Do Not Call list.
Text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other technology. Promotional messages may include promotions, specials, and other marketing offers (e.g., cart reminders).
You understand that you do not have to sign up for this program in order to make any purchases, and your consent is not a condition of any purchase with Sweat and Tonic. Your participation in this program is completely voluntary.
We do not charge for the Service, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless provider. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan and contact your wireless provider for details. You are solely responsible for all charges related to SMS/text messages, including charges from your wireless provider.
You may opt-out of the Service at any time. Text the single keyword command STOP to +61483916437 or click the unsubscribe link (where available) in any text message to cancel. You'll receive a one-time opt-out confirmation text message. No further messages will be sent to your mobile device, unless initiated by you. If you have subscribed to other Sweat and Tonic mobile message programs and wish to cancel, except where applicable law requires otherwise, you will need to opt out separately from those programs by following the instructions provided in their respective mobile terms.

What to Bring
You MUST bring a yoga mat to every class. Rental mat are available if needed.
Always bring a bottle of water. We have a water bottle fill station should you need it.
Bring a smile :-) We are a no judgement studio and all classes are dim lit.
What to Wear for Class Choose comfortable, breathable clothing that allows full range of movement and keeps you feeling fresh throughout your workout. Lightweight fabrics help regulate temperature especially during heated classes. Opt. for fitted yet flexible attire that won’t restrict motion—think leggings, yoga pants, shorts and athletic tops that support ease and mobility.
No shoes are worn in any of our classes due to our specially padded floor. Cubbies are located inside the yoga/fitness studio for any personal belongings.
FAR Infrared heat does not heat the room it heats you. Hence the heat in the room is often described as 'balmy' just like relaxing in the sun without the harmful UV. It's certainly NOT a punch in the face type of heat and NOT like breathing in hot air.
The room starts off less warm and then reaches up to 38 deg Celsius to experience the full benefits of the FAR infrared heat. You will begin to sweat in the room. It can take a couple of classes to acclimatise to the heat, but once you do you will feel amazing.

Can I pause my membership if I’m away?
The Karma for life memberships are heavily discounted memberships and hence even if you are going away for 2months or less, you are still saving compared to the reg. month-to-month membership rate. Hence this membership cannot be paused.
If you are going away for 2months or more speak to us about the best option as these Karma for Life membership cannot be offered again once paused/cancelled.
Is there a joining fee or hidden costs?
There are no joining or hidden costs. We are very clear that all memberships other than the PRE-SALE membership have a 3month minimum to give you the best chance at getting results and feeling the health benefits of the FAR Infrared heat.
We are human though if at anytime after 3months you experience the big 3 we will cancel your membership:
- You lose your employment
- You get a serious illness that doesn't allow you to partake in our classes
- You move more than 5KM from the studio
Yes, absolutely! We encourage everyone to bring a water bottle to class, as staying hydrated is essential. It's a good idea to hydrate well before class. Our instructors ensure plenty of opportunities for rehydration throughout the class. We have a water bottle refill station also if needed.
For safety reasons, glass bottles are not permitted in class.

Far Infrared and our Kids Yoga Policy Far-Infrared therapy is generally safe for most individuals; The sun emits FAR-Infrared and has been known to have many health benefits. However, if you have any concerns, we strongly recommend consulting with your doctor before use.
For safety reasons, pregnant women are not permitted in the Far Infrared environment. Additionally, Kids Yoga classes are always conducted in a non-heated room to ensure a comfortable and safe practice for children.
